At our orphanage, the day-to-day work is filled with both challenges and miracles. One of the most powerful stories of God's provision centers around a sweet and disabled boy named Ezekiel.
One day, John, our director, was faced with a heartbreaking situation. A young boy, Ezekiel, had been abandoned at the orphanage. Ezekiel was severely disabled, requiring specialized medical care and constant attention that John simply could not afford. The weight of this need was heavy, but a powerful reminder of God's timing was on its way.
At that very moment, a care package arrived for Ezekiel. It had been sent by a woman named Melissa, who had met John months earlier in another prayer group, long before Ezekiel had even been found. God had orchestrated this miracle, moving hearts and connecting people across the globe in advance to meet a need that didn't even exist yet. It was a powerful reminder that God sees, He cares, and He provides.
But the miracles for Ezekiel didn't stop there. Through John's tireless efforts, a scholarship was secured for Ezekiel's young mother to finish her education. With John's help and this new opportunity, Ezekiel's mother was able to find good employment, and now, Ezekiel is thriving while living with her full-time. The bond between a child and their mother is a powerful thing, and we are overjoyed that Ezekiel is back in her care.
Ezekiel's story is a testament to the fact that when we partner with God, the impossible becomes possible. His young mother has a renewed sense of purpose and the ability to care for her child. However, this beautiful boy, who is growing fast and is almost too big for his mother to carry, still has an urgent need. He requires a wheelchair, which would dramatically improve his mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Ezekiel's story is a powerful reminder that God is faithful, providing for our needs in extraordinary ways. It shows how He uses each of us, connecting us through shared compassion, to be a part of His incredible work. We invite you to be a part of the next chapter of Ezekiel's story. With your help, we can provide him with the gift of mobility and freedom.
